Tracey Aviary

I love, this past summer we went on a few outtings thanks to discounts at Groupon.  One of these was to the Tracey Aviary in Salt Lake.  We've never been before and the kids loved it, they were doing some contruction adding some new features, so it will be fun to go back and see the expansion.  I got tickets for 1/2 off,  I don't know if I would pay the full $8/person to go in.  The park isn't that big and we were only there for a couple of hours, but what have is great and they have some great exhibits of birds.  A great 1/2 day adventure, I think next time we go we will take our lunches and spend more time taking it slow and relaxing.

Kid Conversations

The other day we were sitting at the intersection in Tremonton, when a few girls about 12 came running down the sidewalk.  Shelby says "Those girls should be with their mom".

Then Preston pipes up and says, "They don't have a mom".  Shelby then proceeds to tell them that they do.

Sydney decides to join the conversation by letting them know that "You don't know if they have a mom or not."  I thought is was a funny conversation that played out over a few girls running down the sidewalk.

Yesterday I took Shelby with me to vote and as we were walking in she asked what were we doing here.  I told her that I was going to vote.  She told me, "I'm going to vote to."

I asked, "Who are you going to vote for?"

"President Monson!"  I told her good choice.  I didn't have the heart to tell her he wasn't on the ballet.  At least I know she is listening somewhat in church on Sundays.
